The GoldenEye: Source
GoldenEye: Source is an online multiplayer arena first-person that recreates that old classic GoldenEye 007’s that we have been playing on our Nintendo 64s in the days of yore. The only difference is that this faithful recreation has a more refined gameplay, HD graphics, and more superb sound. The team responsible for this recreation took them over 10 years just to develop and refine this $#IT!25 maps, 10 game modes, all 28 weapons from the original Nintendo 64 GoldenEye - and guess what!? Getting Your Hands On The GoldenEye: Source
Okay so let's cut the crap, follow these instructions and whatnot and let's get our itchy hand on this faithful recreation of the good old Nintendo 64 GoldenEye.- Create a Steam account and install the Steam client. Get it from: http://store.steampowered.com/about/
- Launch Steam and click on the LIBRARY menu on top. At the time of writing you will see these menu options STORE, LIBRARY, COMMUNITY, and then your STEAM NICK NAME - which I covered with the TNTTS watermark. Steam may add more options at one point in time.
- Look for "Source SDK Base 2007" from Steam's LIBRARY and install it.
- Now grab the GoldenEye: Source installer from: https://www.geshl2.com/downloads/. This is a whooping 2GB++ file. Install this file once your download is completed.
- Grab the "Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable" x86 version from Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679. Install if you have not done so. Take note: YOU NEED TO USE THE x86 VERSION EVEN IF YOU ARE USING A 64-BIT WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM.
- Restart your Steam client. You should see your GoldenEye: Source once your Steam loads.
